I will start with listening and speaking, to make you familiar with the tone of this language and then will move on to reading and writing. I will find video clips on YouTube with both English and Mandarin subtitles, which can help you correlate the sound with the words.
My teaching is focus on practical application of knowledge. I usually first presents new concepts and theories to students and then encourage them to apply the knowledge into practice. For example, in my past coding class, I demonstrated how to code in front of class and then assign a task to let them solve.
Working as a private English tutor previously, the student I taught was a high school student who was preparing college entrance examination. Based on my experience, I tutor him in four parts: grammar, listening, vocabulary and writing. Grammar contains clause, tense and voice.
