About the lesson

My teaching approach is practical, structured, and tailored to each student's goals. Whether you're learning Chinese for travel, work, exams, or personal interest, I design lessons around what you want to achieve.

I focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation (Pinyin and tones), vocabulary, grammar, and real-life conversations. Rather than relying solely on textbooks, I incorporate everyday situations, role-playing, and interactive exercises to help students gain confidence in speaking and listening. I also pay close attention to pronunciation to help students develop clear, natural Mandarin from the beginning.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can also offer 30- or 90-minute sessions depending on your needs. Each lesson includes a review of previous material, new content, guided practice, and opportunities for conversation.

As a native Chinese speaker with standard Mandarin and a neutral accent, I provide authentic language instruction. I have also lived and worked in English-speaking countries for the past nine years, so I understand the challenges English speakers face when learning Chinese and can explain concepts clearly in English.
