About Paula

¡Hola! I’m Paula, born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. Since 2014, I’ve lived in France, where I completed a master’s in Digital Marketing & Communications and became fully fluent in French and English through both academic and professional experience.

I started teaching Spanish during my free time while working in communications and quickly realised how much I enjoyed the cultural exchange. My students' progress and motivation inspired me to shift to teaching full time. I now use a blend of proven methods to offer engaging and practical lessons. As a passionate language learner myself, I understand the process from the inside.

I focus on natural learning through storytelling, real conversation, and meaningful input. Now relocating to the UK, I bring a trilingual background and a culturally rich approach to language. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you confidently towards your goals.

About the lesson

The first step is to define your goal — I’ll adapt my approach to match, selecting the right tools for the job. With that in mind, I teach using Comprehensible Input and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading & Storytelling), so you acquire Spanish the natural way—just like your first language.

My method
➜ Story-based & interactive – you’ll learn through engaging stories, conversation and real-life content such as videoclips and visuals.
➜ Culture-driven – discover Spanish while exploring the richness of Latin-American traditions.
➜ Low-stress & personalised – lessons adapt to your interests and level, with just enough grammar to keep everything clear.

A typical lesson
➜ Includes a story or interactive activity (MovieTalk / PictureTalk)
➜ Real-life media (music, videos, images)
➜ Lots of listening and speaking practice
➜ Recommendations to keep practising in your free time.

Who are my lessons for?
➜ Beginners who want to build a strong, intuitive foundation
➜ Intermediate learners aiming for fluency and confidence
➜ Travellers & curious minds wanting a fun, immersive experience

Let’s make learning Spanish enjoyable, meaningful and effective—together. ¡Nos vemos en clase!
