About Fatou

Hello, my name is Fatou, born and raised in Belgium with Senegalese roots. Currently, I am based in the UK. I am a Smart Building engineer, passionate art lover and personal advocate for water problematics. More specifically, I am involved as a Board Member of the World Youth Parliament for Water (which is a UN-Water sponsored organisation) where we are working on concrete strategies in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals to promote youth inclusion in the decision-making spaces. What I am very proud of is my proficiency in 4 languages: Dutch, French, Wolof, English and Arabic (reading and writing), which drove me to become a language tutor since 2015.

About the lesson

I have 10+ years of teaching experience from English to Dutch. I'm IELTS Certified, and my classes are tailored to the jargon context you are looking for (specific professional field, informal settings etc). My main characteristic is my adaptability: I have worked in several places, speak different challenges, and put steps into different sectors. This adaptability made me a good listener: I always make sure to listen attentively and ask the right questions to suit each particular mind.
