About Florine

Hello! My name is Florine. I was born and raised in France, in a small town in the Loire valley. I now live in Paris. I study History, Art History and Archeology at the Sorbonne. My native tongue is French and I also speak English fluently.
I like reading books, watching movies, going to the museum (anything culture related)...
I like sharing my knowledge and helping others to become better.

I have been tutoring for 4 years and have helped students from age 7 to 18. I am passionate about pedagogy and I have never failed to make my students progress.
I adapt my method to each student, depending on his needs, difficulties, personality, age, level, centres of interest...
Every student is unique and my lessons are unique too, so they can target specifically the needs of the student.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Florine!
I live in Paris, France and I am a native French speaker. I have been tutoring for over 4 years and I absolutely love it! My French level is very good (as I am a native speaker), but I also am good at French literature and grammar (I got 19/20 at the Baccalauréat).

I teach several levels, from beginners to advanced French students. My method is based on oral practice.
If you are a beginner, I will get you through basic vocabulary and everyday sentences as quickly as possible so you can start having conversations soon!
If you are an intermediate student, let's practice oral expression as much as possible! This is the most effective way to learn and remember new vocabulary!
Now, if you are an advanced French student, I would be very happy to chat in French with you and to adapt to your needs to find what you can get better at. We might also look into French literature, French culture, French history, news, depending on your centres of interest.

My lessons are exclusively online: I use Zoom so we can see each other and talk in French together (as much as possible). I can also share lesson material on my screen during the session. I also send a lot of materials so you can learn what we saw together (flashcards, video, movies, grammar lessons).

My sessions are 45 minutes long.

I noticed my students were improving faster in little groups of 3 or 4. That way, everyone can learn from their mistakes and the ones of others. You will be in a group of 3 to 4 students, with me. Of course, the other students in your class are on the same level as you!
