About Jonas

Hi! I'm Jonas and I grew up in a small town just outside of Munich, Bavaria.

After completing secondary school, I actually left n Germany to train as an actor in the United States. Not long after, while completing my MA degree in London, I started working at a private secondary school in Surrey and really found myself enjoying teaching. I then went on to do private tutoring as well as teach at a public school in West London. :)

I love languages and speak a little bit of French & Spanish, and am currently learning Mandarin.

About the lesson

I always tailor the lesson to the student! If you're already having German lessons - whether that's at school or in private - we can align our sessions with current themes at focus points.
I know all about GCSEs and A-Levels, having prepared students for their exams when I was working at secondary schools.
If you're learing German outside of school or for work - don't worry, I got you covered as well!

Perfect! We are half way through a week-long German intensive for both my children, in preparation for our home move. Jonas is very friendly, committed, comes in every day with a structured lesson plan tailored to their abilities and respective pace.
They can both feel they are making serious progress thanks to Jonas while also enjoying their lessons and we would highly recommend him !

Perfect! We’ve been working with Jonas for nearly six months now for our child in Year 10, and we’ve been really pleased with how things have gone.

He is always punctual and very reliable, which we really value. He comes well prepared to each lesson and explains things clearly, and he’s been very patient throughout.

Our child has made noticeable progress in German over this time, both in terms of understanding and confidence, which has been great to see.

Overall, Jonas has been a very supportive and consistent teacher, and we’re very grateful for all the effort he’s put in. We would definitely recommend him to other families.

Jonas is incredibly friendly, interesting and had the right balance of when letting me make mistakes as to let me flow or when it was the right time to make corrections and explain things in depth.
