About Adriana

My vast experience spreads from private to college teaching. My students' needs range from tourist-Italian to college classes. I have a deep knowledge of the Italian Language, Literature, and History thanks to my strong Humanistic background. In addition, my English Language knowledge is certified by Cambridge University.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in International Political Studies with a wide knowledge of EU terms and meanings. Economics and Legal matters were my minor in College and I have worked for Accounting/Law firms as well as translated Financial and Laws documents. I have translated from English to Italian and vice versa several Business Plans, Income Tax Return Forms, VAT Forms, Agreements, Tendering Notices, Diplomas and Recommendation Letters, By-laws Agreements, Bankruptcy Decrees, Bankruptcy
Appraisals, Proposals, Joint Venture Contracts, Antitrust Authority's Decrees, Antitrust Authority's Appraisals, Balance Sheets, Notes to Balance Sheets, Death Certificates, Marriage Licenses, Birth Certificates, Divorce Decrees, Affidavits, JPAs, License Agreements, Addendum and Commercial Lease Contracts. I have translated also INTERPOL’s confidential documents.

I also work for several US Telephone Interpreting Companies. They provide Interpreters for Medical, Health Care, and Insurance Facilities. I am also an over-the-phone Court Interpreter, with wide expertise in all Fields and/or Walk of Life. My job is to translate both languages (ENGITA) for Doctors, Patients, Health Care Companies, etc. I have been training specifically in the medical field and use dictionaries and glossaries provided by Hospitals and Health Care facilities. I have translated several Medical and Pharmaceutical Projects as well as Technical, Chemical, Physics, and Medical Patents. I have also translated medical devices' user manuals (casts, braces, etc.) and Pharmaceutical studies.

I am patient, passionate, dedicated, and reliable. I take my students from "no-knowledge" to conversational Italian. I focus on your needs and timing.

About the lesson

I teach speaking, understanding, reading, and writing. I assign homework intended to practice what we have learned in class. My classes are never the same, but there is always a bit of grammar, a bit of conversation, and a bit of reading. Through my classes, I aim to teach Italian culture and customs. I love my native language at every level! I teach potential tourists, college students, post-grads, kids, and high-schoolers. I am very flexible! Let me know your purpose, and I will tailor my lesson plans to your needs. Nothing is impossible to achieve with practice and determination!
