About Ilona

Hello! I’m Ilona, a native Italian speaker who loves learning new things, writing, and sharing knowledge with others. I enjoy helping students grow their skills and gain confidence in Italian, whether it’s for school, conversation, or personal interest. I bring a friendly, patient, and supportive approach to every lesson, making sure students feel comfortable while learning. With my Grade 9 in Italian GCSE and ongoing studies in Level 3 BTEC Health & Social Care, I combine strong language knowledge with practical teaching techniques to create lessons that are engaging and effective. I’m here to help you improve, achieve your goals, and enjoy the learning process. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, my lessons are tailored to your needs and pace.

About the lesson

I believe learning a language should be fun, practical, and tailored to each student’s needs. I combine structured lessons with interactive conversation so students can practise speaking, reading, and writing Italian confidently. My techniques include: Grammar and vocabulary practice through exercises and real-life examples. Conversational practice to improve fluency and confidence. Exam preparation strategies for GCSE students, including past paper practice. Customised lesson plans based on your goals, whether it’s school support, travel, or general language learning. Lesson length: I typically offer 60-minute lessons, but shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs. Qualifications & experience: Native Italian speaker with a Grade 9 in Italian GCSE. Currently studying Health & Social Care Level 3 BTEC and planning to study Italian at university. Experienced in teaching friends and peers, helping beginners gain confidence and advanced students refine their skills. Who the lessons are for: Students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Children, teenagers, and adults looking to learn Italian, improve exam performance, or practise conversation. I aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow their language skills quickly.
