About Tonya
"Teaching exists to help others navigate the complexities of a new tongue. My BA in Spanish from Middlebury College provides the formal foundation for my 11 years of experience in the classroom. I love finding the exact grammar point that unlocks a student's fluency.
Writing skills, accent and intonation, and reading comprehension are my daily focus. Listening practice remains a top priority during our time together. It is truly enjoyable to watch students finally grasp the subtle nuances of my native language."
