About Troy

I was born in Costa Rica in the beautiful city of Puerto Limon, my mother was a Primary School Teacher and that opens my interest to be a Teacher as well. I did primary, secondary and some University in Costa Rica. When I moved to Canada I decided to do a Certificate program to teach Spanish as a second language. Later on I studied Community Development Work to help people improve their quality of life and also reduce the level of poverty in our community. I'm qualified, I have the knowledge and experience to help my students learn to speak the language step by step.

About the lesson

I like to teach with lots of illustrations and songs to make the lessons more interesting, and as much as possible I try to speak Spanish from the start to make the learning process more effective with my students. My plan is to help my students learn the basic words that will help them speak the language with confidence as they go to through different levels in their learning process, also use words that have similar pronunciation in English and Spanish. I have the advantage to be a native speaker and have the experience to teach the language. The lessons are for any level of students that are willing to speak Spanish fluently.
