About Sebastián

Hello! I'm Sebastián, a native Spanish speaker from Uruguay, now living in the UK.

I grew up in a multicultural border region between Uruguay and Brazil, and I also lived and went to school in Brazil. Later, I spent more than seven years living in Spain before eventually making the UK my home.

Living across different countries, cultures and languages has given me first-hand experience of what it means to communicate and adapt in another language. I speak Spanish, Portuguese and English, so I know from personal experience that becoming confident in another language is about much more than memorising grammar rules.

Spanish is my native language, and my experience of living in both Uruguay and Spain means I am familiar with the differences between Latin American and European Spanish — not only in vocabulary, but also in pronunciation, expressions and everyday usage.

I want my students to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and asking questions while gradually becoming more confident and independent in Spanish. My aim is to help you learn useful, natural Spanish that you can actually use in real-life situations.

About the lesson

My lessons are focused on helping you speak and understand Spanish with confidence in real-life situations.

Rather than simply memorising vocabulary or grammar rules, we will use practical conversation based on your interests and goals. Whether you are learning Spanish for travel, everyday conversation, work, or simply because you love the language, I will adapt each lesson to your level and what you want to achieve.

As a native Spanish speaker, I can help you improve your pronunciation, listening skills and vocabulary while correcting mistakes in a relaxed and supportive way. If you are a beginner, I can also explain things clearly in English whenever needed.

You will also learn how Spanish is actually spoken in different parts of the Spanish-speaking world. Having lived for many years in both Uruguay and Spain, I can help you understand the differences in vocabulary, pronunciation and everyday expressions between Latin American and European Spanish.

Lessons are online and typically last one hour. They are ideal for adult beginners and intermediate learners who want to become more confident speaking and understanding real Spanish.
