About Juan
I've been tutoring Spanish officially at Regis College for the past two years. During this time, I've learned a lot about the different styles of learning as well as the most common errors students of Spanish hate to make like speaking with an accent which, invariably, causes them to miscommunicate. On this same note, however, I've learned that generally US students actually like Spanish but, regardless of their level, they end up dreading it because either in high school or in college they continue to learn only the boring but important stuff like grammar and conjugations. I think this is fine but only for beginning students because intermediate/advanced students get stuck in a rut, literally, and I DON'T want that to happen to any of my students. Therefore, my mission is to help my students practice speaking Spanish like a Native Speaker would do everyday with another Native speaker, i.e. me which actually helps students master and honestly OWN Spanish which is what you've always wanted in the first case.
