About Laura

Hi! My name is Laura. I’m a Biology student and I’m passionate about languages and learning about different cultures. Spanish is my native language, and I also speak English and Turkish, as well as a little Portuguese.

I started teaching languages by teaching English to Spanish speakers. Later, I became part of a large international community of people who wanted to learn Spanish. From that experience, I discovered how much I enjoy teaching my own language. For the past 4 years, I have been committed to giving my best so that my students can learn Spanish in a way that is useful, enjoyable and adapted to them.

I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language because I am also a language learner myself. That is why my teaching approach is based on explaining things in the way I would have liked them to be explained to me when I was learning. I want my students to feel comfortable, welcomed and confident in my classes.

I’m a talkative and empathetic teacher who enjoys getting to know my students and creating personalized lessons. I’m always open to their ideas and suggestions because I believe that every student learns differently.

Are you a theoretical person? Perfect! Don't forget I am science woman too, so we can approach Spanish in a structured and logical way. Are you more creative? Great, let’s include interactive activities and dynamics. Are you a musical person? Even better! How about learning vocabulary and expressions through a song?

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Laura, a Peruvian Spanish teacher with 4 years of experience teaching Spanish online to students from different countries and backgrounds.

My lessons are personalized according to each student’s level, goals and interests. I use a communicative and practical approach, focusing on speaking and real-life situations while also working on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening. For younger students, I use interactive activities, visual materials, games and engaging exercises to make learning Spanish fun and effective.

A typical lesson lasts 50–60 minutes, but I can adapt the pace and activities depending on the student’s needs.

I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, prepare for a trip, communicate with Spanish-speaking people, improve your grammar or simply feel more confident speaking Spanish, I will help you progress step by step.

As a Peruvian native speaker, I can also introduce you to Latin American Spanish and Peruvian culture while helping you develop natural and useful Spanish for everyday life.

I always try to create a friendly, comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident making mistakes and learning from them.
