About Michaela

Giving lessons since being a student still myself doing A-Levels in Germany - for 30 plus years, on and off. I have not taught hundreds of students, but have taken a personal interest in the students I have worked with. Students have ranged from primary, through to secondary, college/university and adult learners. As a native speaker, my language level in German has been excellent, even in Germany - I have also been excellent learning foreign languages quickly and well, including to take part in competitions, so that I will have understanding about what it involves to learn a language as a foreign language to begin with. Some of my students have become excellent, some of my students have taken a more relaxed, leisured, fun approach - that depends on you, what your motivation is and goals are. I can teach to prepare you for relevant qualifications in German as a Foreign Language or for entry into college/university courses, but can equally pick you up and get you started as a complete beginner, including work well with young children!

About the lesson

Have had a passion for learning and languages especially - the ability to connect, communicate and learn about, share with fellow humans around the world - to widen horizons, open doors, explore possibilities and travel. Originally from Germany, I have lived, studied and worked in Great Britain (as well as in Germany) for twenty plus years successfully. I started giving private lessons and then working in mainstream Education (largely further and primary, but also some secondary and adult learners). I see potential in people, recognising their strengths and working to improve weaknesses - am self-motivated and positive. Happy to pick you up whatever your age, point in life or wherever you come from. I can adjust to your own preferred approach or offer you ideas from my side. Well, networked and backed up with family and friends around the world.
