About Hemed

I am a friendly and patient native Swahili teacher born and raised in Moshi at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Swahili is my mother tongue. I have been helping friends and tourists from the USA and Europe learn authentic everyday Swahili for over 3 years. I am passionate about sharing not only the language but also the rich culture of Tanzania. I am very professional, always on time, and adapt to your learning style and goals. I am a partner and culture guide. I will make sure you feel comfortable and motivated every lesson. Asante.

Jambo I'm Hemed, a native Swahili speaker from Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Do you want to learn real Swahili that people actually speak in East Africa, not just from a book? I will help you speak Swahili confidently for travel to Tanzania/Zanzibar, business, connecting with your partner's family, or for your heritage. My lessons are 100% conversation and practical. We focus on speaking from day one, no boring grammar memorization. I use real-life situations, stories, music, and build your confidence. Heritage learners. I teach on Zoom/Google Meet. I provide notes and audio after each lesson. Let's make Swahili fun and easy. Karibu sana.
