About Jose

With 15+ years of teaching English and Spanish online and at some of the best international schools in the world, I offer you customized tools to attain success in your learning journey. To reach your goals in accent reduction, English, Spanish, Global Perspectives, Cambridge exam preparation, IELTS, IGCSE, IBDP and A level English and Spanish. In addition, I have just designed a multi level accent reduction course designed to neutralize even the most stubborn accents.

I am British, bilingual in Spanish with a BA Honors degree in Spanish (Middlesex University - London), a PGCE in Secondary Education (University of Nottingham) and a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) - American College of Education in Indianapolis, United States.

In terms of hobbies, I love kitesurfing on some of the world's most remote beaches, especially in South East Asia.

About the lesson

In terms of methodology, I use online whiteboards and conduct lessons designed to reproduce exactly the same content and methodology as I have been trained to use throughout my career in my physical classroom. For my online classes, I use various different Learning Management Systems (LMS), which vary according to your preferences. These include Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Canvas, Blackboard and even Skype.

Online Whiteboard

My online whiteboard works just like a traditional classroom blackboard, but it in digital format. We will connect to and share the same resources and content for a variety of purposes such as doing interactive exercises, carrying out assignments, reviewing homework, brainstorming around lessons, and conducting practice tests, interactive quizzes with continuous correction and feedback.

Flipped Classroom

Flipped Classroom is a concept I use on a continuous basis. Outside our online lessons, you will be reviewing study material before I teach you. This simulates my exact classroom teaching methodology in an online environment.
