About Sarah

I have a Bachelor's degree in various subjects, including: Crime and Justice, Myth in the Greek and Roman Worlds Exploring Art and Visual Culture Creative Writing Art Past and Present On Track: Intermediate Spanish Portals: Spanish for Beginners. I worked part time at Explore Learning, (in addition to staying at Lush) between the ages of 17-20, so I had to tutor 4-14 year olds, of all abilities, including children in the SEN ( special educational needs) list - with your English and math. My roles at Explore Learning were vast, not only did they train me as a Tutor, but because of my continuous hard work they trained me as a Compere. The Comperes are trained to manage the center while the managers were in meetings or completing paperwork, so my role included supervision and welcoming / releasing the children and sometimes their parents inside and outside the center. I was also responsible for organizing children's course schedules, providing parents and children with constructive feedback on their performance, as well as guiding other members of the team of tutors to ensure the efficient operation of the center. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the growth of the children, it was gratifying to see all of them do better in school and often in their personal lives; especially for the select few who took a little longer to reach their goals. Since working at Explore Learning, I have gained significant coaching skills, the ability to think outside the box, and I feel like I have gained much better leadership skills, especially under pressure. One of my favorite aspects of the job was the management of the agenda and the possibility of interacting with the parents / guardians, as well as the use of computer agendas to organize appointments between the management and the families, as I love being structured and feeling better prepared with a plan of action. However, when working with children, there are sometimes cases where plans go out the window.

About the lesson

I am trained in these subjects up to university level, I am also a native English speaker - if they offer English classes. I have three years of experience teaching a large team of over 20s and two years of experience teaching smaller groups of up to 6 students. I have two years of experience teaching children with special educational needs. I have experience helping people from 6 months to 28 years old.
