About Ariana
Hi! I’m a college student at the University of Florida with a passion for helping students feel more confident in their academics. I offer tutoring for elementary and middle school math and understand that math can sometimes feel frustrating or difficult. My goal is to create a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I take the time to understand each student’s individual needs and explain concepts in a clear, simple way. Whether a student needs help with homework, is preparing for a test, or wants to strengthen their math skills, I am here to provide encouragement, guidance, and personalized support. I believe that with the right approach and a little confidence, every student can improve their math skills.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing steps. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on what works best for each student. I use clear explanations, step-by-step examples, practice problems, and real-life examples to make math feel less overwhelming and more manageable. I also encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because that is an important part of learning.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing what the student is currently learning and identifying any areas they are struggling with. From there, I explain the concept in a simple way, work through examples together, and then have the student practice problems independently while I provide guidance when needed. I like to end each lesson by reviewing what we learned and making sure the student feels confident with the material.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain concepts in different ways. If a student does not understand something the first time, I will find another way to explain it until it makes sense. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident and comfortable with math.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need additional support with math. I can help with homework, reviewing class material, preparing for tests, strengthening foundational skills, and working through challenging concepts in a supportive and judgment-free environment.
