About Louis
I tutored my younger sister and my friend's younger brother in South Africa. I coached rowing for the u14 age group at my school where I learned how to help boys to cope with pressure and to grasp concepts quickly. Due to my studies only starting in September, I have a lot of time to dedicate to this job.

I am looking to tutor students between the ages of 10 and 16 as I am more experienced with teaching this age range. When possible, I would prefer to tutor in person as it's much easier to help the student grasp concepts and make it more fun. I believe in changing students' thinking rather than simply learning what's for homework. For this reason, I will teach the student to use multiple ways to work around questions and to think out of the box (I found this is what made the difference between 80 and 85% in my final year at school). A successful student is one who can work through any problem, not one who can repeat facts from a teacher. The length of lessons can be negotiated later on.
