About Kathrina

*Only serious and excited Actors apply! To my prospective student who carries a gift and passion for acting! My name is kathrina, but I also go by Kat. I am a professional working actor and have recently decided to unlock my knowledge and excitement to educate actors ages 7 and up. I have been an actor nearly all my life. I began by acting in community theater, and continued to pursue acting as a full time career; I went on to study Scene Study, and theater at Wagner Theatrical College where I graduated with a BFA, and a minor in Education. Shortly after graduation I moved to LA to gain more opportunities, enhance my career and broaden my acting experiences. I starred and guest starred in numerous commercials TV shows and Independent films, such as The Fontana's (TV series)The Kat Miccio Show(Host) Smart PetTV(Host) Almost Made King of AngelsBIRR Watching The Detective’s The Sopranos The Commuters Ed
FILMs The Brotherhood, MobKing, King of Angels, Good Friday ,The Streetz Al Dente St Joseph High Hopes American Trial The Elevator Game Saturday in The Park The Wrestler
The Forgotten Intervention
I also studied improv, and worked with numerous casting directors at ONE on ONE, and Actor's Connection. I currently have two exceptional agents, and have made lasting connections with actors, agents, and casting directors in NYC, and LA The experience I’ve had with countless auditions and callbacks for TV, film, musicals, plays and commercials has given me insight into casting, and what it takes to actually get in the room, be memorable and book! Most importantly, my coaching will prepare my students to be the best actors they possibly can be by learning how to understand the text of their sides or script, know their character deeply, know the situation, moment before, objective, all of which will be the building blocks to use for a lifetime to acting! If you're searching for a kind, passionate and knowledgeable teacher, I am your coach. Together we will grow your love for acting and enjoy the art of this craft together! My teacher Anthony Grasso would always quote the famous Stanislavski, “there isn't a recipe to acting- it’s whatever works!” I strongly stand by this. No person is the same. Everyone works differently and learns differently. There isn’t a one size fits all method like many acting studios teach. I don’t want any of my actors to be the same as the next actor who walks into an audition. I promise to work with the actor and incorporate their unique qualities and personality to grow and achieve their own skill set. Come ACT with KAT!
