About Mazin
I am a Year 12 student currently studying A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, with a strong interest in problem-solving and helping others learn. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and Physics and a Grade 8 in Chemistry, and I understand first-hand the challenges students face when preparing for GCSE exams.
As someone who completed GCSEs recently, I’m very familiar with the latest specifications, exam techniques and the topics students often struggle with. I know that subjects like Maths and Science can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to explain concepts in a simple, clear and patient way that helps students build both understanding and confidence.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people improve and seeing students become more confident in subjects they previously found difficult. I believe learning works best in a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Alongside my studies, I have experience mentoring younger students and developing strong communication and leadership skills through roles such as House Captain. I am reliable, organised and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

I tailor lessons to each student depending on their strengths, weaknesses and target grades. As a recent GCSE student now studying A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, I’m very familiar with the current exam specifications, common mistakes students make, and the exam techniques needed to achieve top grades in GCSE Maths and Science.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE students studying Foundation or Higher tier Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I mainly work through exam-style questions step by step, helping students fully understand the method rather than just memorising answers. I also focus on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills and teaching efficient exam technique.
Lessons are typically 40 minutes to an hour long and taught online. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult topics at their own pace.
Although this is my first tutoring role, I have experience helping and mentoring younger students in school and explaining difficult concepts clearly and patiently. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and Physics, Grade 8 in Chemistry, and I am currently predicted AAA in A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
