Hi, I'm Denim!

I'm someone that always had a hidden ability in mathematics but didn't realise it until I eventually learned the best ways to study and learn. So many teachers that I encounter like to teach in the same monogamous way that only appeals to one certain type of student, I believe I can alter the way I teach to accommodate for all types of students from all ranges of ability. You might believe that you yourself are not good at maths but my goal is to eventually convince you that you are in fact a very capable mathematician. You might also think that you're already pretty good in which my case my experience will help you to take your skills to the next level! I think most importantly about me is that I'm passionate about each and every student that I tutor and will go above and beyond the call of duty to help them to achieve their very best.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Denim! I prefer to tutor 1-1 online just so that I can reach a wider range of students. I achieved top grades throughout my schooling including an A* in A-Level Mathematics completed a year early and A in A-Level Further Mathematics completed the year after. I'm on a gap year looking to study Mathematics and Computer Science where I currently hold a place at The University of Oxford. I'm most comfortable tutoring GCSE higher and foundation mathematics and my sessions will last anywhere between an hour to three hours and will only charge £20 per hour.

I believe in tailoring my teaching in a way that best fits the individual student I'm working with, as everyone learns in different ways and at different paces. I can help you perform to your very best whether or not you're just looking to pass GCSE maths to move on to the next stage of life or you're looking to score very highly so that you can pursue it further by using the revision, study and mathematical techniques I picked up over my schooling career. I like to take a more laid back approach to my studies where we work hard but play hard however as stated I'm willing to adapt to any student that I'm presented with. Also if you've already left school but you're still looking to study GCSE Maths for whatever reason you are also very welcome in my sessions. I encourage you to also take part! Expect for us to look through any pieces of homework you've been given, I can set you some of my own, and most importantly I can work through past paper questions together with you which is the best way to study for your maths exams. I'm also very comfortable just going through an entire topic or concept with you if you find that you struggle with it. In other words, anything you need, I will accommodate!
