About Sumit

I am a musician and music enthusiast who is passionate about understanding how music works beyond simply playing songs. Through my journey with guitar, piano, music theory, composition, and listening to a wide variety of music, I have developed a deep appreciation for creativity and self-expression.

I want to share my knowledge because I believe many students get stuck memorizing chords, scales, or songs without truly understanding music. My goal is to help students build a genuine connection with their instrument, develop confidence, and discover their own musical voice.

Teaching allows me to share the joy of creating music and to help others express their emotions, ideas, and stories through sound. I believe every musician has a unique perspective, and I enjoy guiding students as they learn, grow, and create music that feels personal and meaningful.

About the lesson

I offer online Guitar, Piano, and Music Composition lessons for students who want to go beyond simply learning songs and develop a deeper understanding of music. My teaching approach focuses on helping students build a strong foundation, understand their instrument, and discover their own creative voice.

For guitar students, lessons include fretboard knowledge, chord construction, fingerstyle techniques, melody playing, ear training, and practical musicianship. For piano students, lessons cover scales, harmony, chord progressions, Western modes, Indian classical ragas, improvisation, and musical expression. Rather than memorizing patterns, students learn how music actually works.

A major focus of my teaching is composition and songwriting. Students learn how melodies, chords, rhythm, and emotion come together to create meaningful music. We analyze real songs, explore different musical styles, and study the techniques used by composers and songwriters to communicate ideas and feelings.

My goal is to help students become independent musicians who can understand, create, and express themselves through music. Whether a student wants to write original songs, improve their musical understanding, accompany their singing, or simply enjoy playing more confidently, lessons are tailored to their goals and interests.

Classes are conducted online in a friendly and supportive environment suitable for beginners as well as developing musicians. Students are encouraged to explore creativity, build confidence, and develop a personal musical identity rather than simply copying others.
