About Sinni
As a Computer Science student at the University of Warwick, I bring both academic strength and a passion for teaching to my tutoring sessions. Having completed A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, I deeply understand the challenges students face with these subjects. During my A Levels, I enjoyed helping my peers understand difficult concepts, which sparked my love for teaching. I know how important it is to grasp key ideas thoroughly, so I structure my lessons in a way I wish they had been done for me—step-by-step, clear, and tailored to each student's needs. My tutoring approach focuses on building a solid understanding of key concepts and applying them through interactive problem-solving. Lessons last 1 hour, during which I introduce core ideas using clear PowerPoint presentations, followed by solving practice questions together. This approach helps bridge the gap between theory and application, allowing me to assess the student's understanding and provide immediate feedback. I emphasize critical thinking and guide students through more complex problems while assigning relevant homework for independent practice. Each session starts with a review of the previous homework to address any misunderstandings and ensure continuous progress. With experience tutoring A Level Maths and Further Maths following the Edexcel exam board, I am familiar with both GCSE and A Level curricula, equipping me to guide students in preparing for exams effectively. I tutor A Level students studying Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, as well as GCSE students in Maths and Physics, tailoring my lessons to suit their specific needs. My goal is not only to help students succeed in exams but also to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the subject.
