About Josie
I graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Bachelor of Music in Music Education. With more than 4 years of private teaching experience, I currently teach flute lessons around Toronto and online music theory lessons, helping high school students with their band repertoires and preparing them for RCM exams.

offers 30 min free trial lesson, help with your band repertoires, get an intro to music theory, or come with any music theory questions :)
Students of all ages are welcome! If you are preparing for the RCM theory exam, learning an instrument, and would like to understand the chords and harmony of a piece, or if you are playing in a school band and having trouble with reading notes, counting rhythm, etc. The theory lesson will help you. We will be using RCM theory books.
Starting RCM level 5 and upwards, all practical exams (piano, string, woodwind...) require students to complete an equal level of music theory exam to receive the certificate. Studying music theory helps build a strong foundation in reading notes, understanding rhythm, chord/ harmony, and history, thereby improving musicianship.
