About Keshav

'm currently a BSc Economics student at the University of Nottingham with a strong academic background, achieving A*A*AA at A-level, including an A* in Economics, and 10 A*-A at GCSE. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to bridge the gap between understanding and application.

Many students struggle not with the content itself, but with knowing how to structure answers, interpret exam questions, and apply knowledge effectively under timed conditions. My focus is on building a strong foundation in key concepts while developing the skills and confidence needed to excel in exams.

Having recently been through this process myself, I offer a fresh, student-centred approach that prioritises clarity, efficiency, and exam success.

I offer one-to-one tutoring (prices as advertised), group lessons (at a lower hourly cost per student than advertised- please contact for rates!) & Exam script marking.

About the lesson

As a student who recently sat these exams myself, I understand the pressures of modern education and the strategies needed to succeed. I take a structured but adaptable approach, focusing on three key areas: deep conceptual understanding, exam technique, and confidence-building. I break down complex topics into simple, understandable explanations, ensuring students can truly grasp the material.

I also emphasise exam practice, helping students master essay structures, data interpretation, and time management to maximise their marks. Because I have recently been through the same system, I know what works—and what doesn’t.

My tutoring isn’t just about knowledge transfer; it’s about developing the right mindset, strategies, and problem-solving skills to help students achieve top grades.

Sessions are designed to be very relaxed, engaging and interactive, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and can develop their understanding with confidence. Unlike a traditional classroom setting, my sessions provide a more personalised and focused learning experience, allowing students to ask questions freely, work at their own pace, and gain a deeper understanding in a supportive environment.

Over the past academic year, I have tutored three students in Economics at both A-level and GCSE, and I am currently working with seven more. Every one of my students in the last exam season achieved top grades—A* at A-level and Grade 9 at GCSE.

My experience has given me insight into the challenges students face and the best methods to help them succeed. I have experience teaching under Edexcel, AQA, OCR, SQA & WJEC exam boards.

In addition to one-to-one tutoring, I also offer group lessons, with two or more students. The hourly rate per students for these lessons will be cheaper than one-to-one lessons. Over the past academic year, I've been teaching A-level students in a group setting, along with their individual lessons, and it has been really beneficial to their progress! This is a great alternative option at a lower hourly cost, still with high engagement and lesson quality.

As a part of the one-on-one & group tutoring, I have experience explaining complex economic concepts in a clear and engaging way, ensuring students not only memorise content, but truly understand it.

My approach is tailored to each student’s strengths and weaknesses, ensuring they develop both confidence and exam technique.
