About Max
Hi, I’m Max, a Computer Science student at Royal Holloway University of London with a passion for music and live performance. I have been playing acoustic guitar for around 3 years and regularly perform at open mic nights, which has helped me develop confidence, rhythm and practical playing experience.
I understand how intimidating learning an instrument can feel at first, especially when many lessons can seem overly technical or fast paced. My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where beginners can enjoy learning guitar without pressure.
I focus on helping students build strong fundamentals while learning songs and techniques they genuinely enjoy. Whether you want to learn your first chords, improve your strumming, or simply play for fun, I aim to make lessons approachable, engaging and tailored to your goals.
As a tutor, I value patience, consistency and creating a comfortable atmosphere where students can build confidence at their own pace.

My lessons are aimed at complete beginners who want to start learning acoustic guitar in a relaxed and approachable environment. I focus on building confidence first, helping students learn the fundamentals without making lessons feel overwhelming or overly technical.
Lessons typically last around 45 minutes to 1 hour and are adapted to each student’s pace and interests. I can help students learn basic chords, rhythm, strumming patterns, simple songs, finger exercises and general playing technique. I also like to include songs that students actually enjoy listening to in order to keep lessons engaging and motivating.
I have been playing guitar for around 3 years and regularly perform at open mic nights, giving me practical experience playing music in live settings. As a younger tutor, I understand the challenges that beginners face when first learning guitar and aim to make lessons friendly, patient and encouraging.
My lessons are best suited for complete beginners and early learners of all ages who want to start playing acoustic guitar for fun, creativity or personal development.
