About Atul

Hello, I'm Atul, an Oracle Certified Professional with over 25 years of experience in database administration and engineering.

Throughout my career, I've worked with major organisations, including London Stock Exchange Group and British Telecom, supporting some of the most business-critical Oracle database environments in the financial services and telecommunications industries.

My experience spans everything from traditional Oracle database administration to complex RAC and Data Guard environments, performance optimisation, disaster recovery, and large-scale migrations to AWS RDS.

I've also led technical teams, mentored fellow DBAs and worked closely with developers and engineers to solve complex database challenges.

**Why do I want to teach?**

Over the years, I've realised that there's a big difference between understanding Oracle concepts and knowing how to apply them in a real production environment.

I want to help bridge that gap.

My aim is to share the practical knowledge I've gained throughout my career, helping aspiring DBAs build confidence, develop strong technical foundations and understand what working as an Oracle DBA is really like.

I believe that with the right guidance, patience and hands-on practice, anyone with an interest in databases can develop valuable Oracle skills.
