About Philip
"Violin instruction often feels rigid, yet I find that flexibility creates the best results. My 13 years of teaching span from nervous beginners to those preparing for intense grade exams. I hold a Master of Music degree from the Royal College of Music and prioritise a methodical approach for every pupil.
I focus on sight reading, tuning by ear, music theory, and ear training to build your foundation. Classical repertoire, posture and hold, rhythm and timing, and orchestral playing form the core of my technical guidance. Let us work together to reach your specific performance goals."
