About Howard
Regarding the way we start, I find that a solid warm-up exercise is where the real work begins for any singer. I use a diagnostic vocal assessment for every new student to map out your specific needs.
My Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music ensures that we cover belting technique and diction with anatomical accuracy. Since I have 13 years of experience, I know how to help you navigate genre styling or exam preparation with ease. We will spend time on sight singing and rhythm to build your confidence.
The goal is to make your voice a reliable instrument. By the end of our time, you will be prepared for the stage.

I am a teacher who values precision and expressive delivery above all else. My classroom style is guided by the ORFF and Kodály methodology that I have refined over 13 years of experience. I have taught 116 students ranging from young kids to serious hobbyists.
My journey includes performing with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and earning a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. I maintain a studio in Ottawa where we work on everything from genre styling to complex vocal phrasing. It is simply about the music.
