About Dennis
I am a retired senior executive of the Canadian Public Service who has written numerous briefings for politicians and other senior bureaucrats. I have also taught English language, essay writing, and reading as a teacher at the secondary school level to over 200 students. I have assisted many employees in the preparation of resumes and job applications. I am also a mentor and a coach who has positioned over 100 students and employees to have successful careers. Some of the persons I have mentored and coached are now holding senior positions in government and private industry. As someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, I am very sensitive to the needs and concerns of everyone with whom I am in contact. I possess a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Public Administration

I have over 30 years of experience turning students who have had difficulties learning into exemplary successes. My methodology conforms to established practices. Each student is evaluated to determine their learning style and needs. Each student is given individualized attention to ensure that his or her unique challenges are overcome/addressed. I usually take a holistic approach to teaching English. For example, the foundation of the English language is based on verb and sentence construction. Verb tenses are very important in this regard. And I emphasize the appropriate use of words and in proper context. Writing skills and expertise are built on proper use of verb conjugation and tenses as well as words in appropriate context. My philosophy is premised on the notion that every student is capable of mastering English, once the basic foundation of the language is grasped.
