About Julia
I am a graduate of BA English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. My experience includes Victorian Poetry and Fiction, Modernism, Shakespeare, Early Modern Poetry, Early Modern Drama, 20th-Century American Novel, Literary Theory, History of Language and more.
I can also offer advice and help with the application process for the University of Oxford, as well as writing personal statements, critical essays, unseen prose and poetry analysis and more. We can also work on scheduling, setting deadlines and managing workload, including reading lists and ways of dealing with large amounts of texts.
I am interested in finding out about my students` interests and current ways of working - I believe that personal interests and academic work can connect in exciting ways, and finding those usually encourages more interest in the studied works, even if they seem completely unfamiliar at first!
In my personal life, I am passionately interested in creating and learning about the arts: literature, photography, film, drawing, ceramics, music and more.

Perfect! I had a very positive experience working with Julia. She was extremely helpful with my case study and correcting grammatical errors while ensuring the content remained clear and professional. Her attention to detail and guidance significantly improved the quality of my work. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs support with academic writing and proofreading.

Perfect! Dear Julia, please accept my apologies for the delayed feed-back following your excellent courses with Paul. We've had a hectic period lately. I hope I can deliver my assessment here. We want to underline how happy Paul has been following his sessions with you. All items were outstanding: interaction, methodology, chosen topics, visited sights, overall level. We can definitely recommend Julia as an outstanding coach. Thank you!
- Paul was a wonderful student to tutor - he learns quickly and asks valuable questions when in doubt. His broad interests and creativity complement his learning. I would encourage Paul to keep engaging with English literature and cinema, as well as further English lessons - he has great potential.See the response Julia :
Perfect! Very good the English tutor, my daughter very happy with her tuition.
- Sophie grasps ideas very well - it was wonderful to see how she progressed from a slight lack of confidence in approaching poetry to understanding the main issues and concepts which appeared in the poem. We will practice structuring exam answers and thinking critically about literature, including both poetry and prose. Well done!See the response Julia :
