About Monika

Hi everyone!

I'm Monika, founder of The Dance Fix and a Bollywood dance and fitness instructor based in Singapore. My love for dance started early — I hold a Senior Diploma in Bharatanatyam from India, completing a rigorous 9-year classical training program. Over the past 20+ years, I have performed solo and ensemble on regional and national stages, choreographed for schools, workshops and cultural events, and built a deep foundation in rhythm, expression, and movement.

Teaching was a natural next step. I started The Dance Fix because I wanted to create a space where kids and adults could experience the joy of Bollywood dance in a personal, pressure-free environment — not a big studio where you get lost in the crowd. Every class is small by design, so I can give each student the attention they deserve.

I bring the same discipline and passion from my classical training into every Bollywood class — structured, fun, and focused on real learning. Whether your child is 4 or you're an adult looking to get fit and have fun, you're in the right place.

About the lesson

At The Dance Fix, every class is personal, fun, and pressure-free.

I teach Bollywood dance to both kids, teenagers and adults and fitness classes to adults in small batches so every student gets individual attention- no one gets lost in a crowd.

How I teach:
Kids Classes:
Structured, fun and age-appropriate — every class starts with a warmup and a freeze game, followed by choreography with repetition to build muscle memory, a short break, and a cooldown. Classes are kept in small batches so every child gets personal attention.

Teenagers/Adult Classes:
Relaxed, energetic and personal. Whether it's Bollywood dance or fitness, every session is structured for real progress — not just going through the motions. Small batches, no pressure, good vibes.

Lesson length:
Each class is 1 hour. Post-class videos sent the same day.

Who are my classes for:
- Kids Bollywood Dance — ages 4 to 7 and 8 to 12
- Teenagers & Adult Bollywood Dance - no experience is required. Everyone is welcome
- Adult Bollywood Fitness — for beginners and those looking to stay active in a fun way

Classes are kept intentionally small so the environment stays personal, encouraging, and enjoyable for everyone.
