About Lama
I worked with school-aged students as well as adult students in an international setting, teaching languages. My experience and qualifications are based on inclusivity and meeting each student where they are. Using scaffolding activities and personalized learning. I have a teaching and learning diploma and an international teaching certificate plus a bachelor’s in Human Relations. My work was mostly in the inquiry-based learning environment where students are encouraged to critically think and remain curious about their learning. Student engagement in the process of learning is the base to what I do.

Having extensive experience designing curriculums, I follow a “skills & knowledge” benchmarks approach. Goals are set from the start for each lesson and the lesson plan is shared to clarify expectations. The lesson will be structured to include the needed content and interactive task/s, followed by a conclusion to wrap up the session. Homework may be given but mainly as a revision and a connection for the following session. Feedback is given in the form of (what is done well, what needs improvement, how to improve).
