About Shambhavi
Hello! I am a passionate and dedicated dance instructor with a deep love for Indian dance traditions and creative performance. My journey in dance spans classical, regional folk, and cinematic choreography, allowing me to share both the technical discipline and the pure joy of movement with my students.
I am trained in two rich Indian classical dance forms: Kathak, known for its rhythmic footwork, swift turns (chakkars), and storytelling, and Odissi, renowned for its sculptured postures (Tribhanga), grace, and fluidity.
Beyond classical dance, I specialize in:
Semi-Classical: Blending classic grace and intricate expressions with contemporary melodies.
Regional Folk Dances: Bringing high energy, culture, and vibrant rhythms to the dance floor.
Bollywood Choreography: Crafting fun, expressive, and dynamic routines tailored for events, hobbyists, or performance readiness.
Whether you are looking to build a strong classical foundation, learn custom choreography for a special occasion, or simply dance for fitness and expression, I adapt my teaching to suit your personal goals and pace. Styles Offered: Classical (Kathak & Odissi), Semi-Classical, Regional Indian Folk, and Bollywood Choreography.
Format: Online (1-on-1 / group) & In-person lessons.

What You Will Learn
Foundational Technique: Pure classical steps (Tatkar, Chakkars, and hand gestures for Kathak; Chowk, Tribhanga, and torso movements for Odissi).
Rhythm & Expression: Developing time sense (Taal) and facial storytelling (Abhinaya / Bhav).
Choreography & Fusion: Custom choreography for Bollywood, semi-classical songs, and energetic folk routines tailored to your pace.
Stage & Performance Readiness: Body posture, grace, confidence, and presentation skills.
Lesson Structure
Warm-up (5–10 mins): Stretches and body alignment to prevent injury.
Technical Practice (15–20 mins): Footwork, body positions, and foundational exercises.
Choreography & Routine (25 mins): Learning and practicing dance steps to music.
Cool-down & Feedback (5 mins): Gentle cool-down and constructive feedback for home practice.
