About Sara

Hi! I’m Sara, an Italian tutor with a big passion for history and storytelling. I’ve always believed that history isn’t just about memorizing dates or facts, it’s about understanding people, choices, and how the past shapes the world we live in today. During my own studies, I had both amazing and not-so-great history teachers, and I realized how much a good teacher can change the way you see the subject. Once I found the right professor who taught history like a story (full of life, context, and emotion) I completely fell in love with it. That experience inspired me to start teaching myself, helping others discover that same excitement. I’ve tutored students of different ages and levels, including those with ADHD and autism, and I always adapt my lessons to fit each student’s pace, needs, and interests. My approach is friendly and interactive, I encourage curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking rather than rote learning. My goal is to make students feel confident and engaged, showing that history can be one of the most fascinating subjects once you start seeing it as a collection of human stories rather than a textbook of facts.

About the lesson

My History lessons are all about helping students truly enjoy the subject. I believe history shouldn’t just be memorizing dates, it’s about understanding stories, people, and the choices that shaped our world.

Throughout my student years, I’ve had both great and not-so-great professors, and I’ve realized how much the way history is taught can change everything. When I finally found the right teacher (someone who made history feel like an unfolding story) I completely fell in love with the subject. That experience inspired me to teach it myself, especially to students who might find it dull or overwhelming at first.

Each class is adapted to the student’s level, interests, and learning style. We’ll focus on understanding events and connections, building strong analytical and essay-writing skills, and finding ways to make each topic engaging and meaningful. I like to use visuals, discussion, and real-life examples to make lessons dynamic and relatable.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, and I always make space for questions and curiosity. I’ve also worked with students with ADHD or autism, and I’m used to adjusting my pace and methods to make learning enjoyable and effective for everyone.
