About Sarah
I have been teaching Science for 10 years since my Physics degree and love finding new ways to pass on information. I have experience teaching KS3 Science, GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology and my particular passion is A-level Physics.
I have taught in 4 different Schools overall and have seen my students achieve everything, from the A*s and 9s to the hard won Bs and Cs that mean just as much to many. With my help, many of my students have gone on to achieve the grades they wanted, but more importantly they have found confidence and developed a love for the subject.
I have worked with students with a range of educational, medical and emotional needs and have developed many different approaches to my teaching.

The key components of my lessons are humour, terrible attempts at drawing, food based analogies and penguin specific worked examples. I teach from KS3 to A-level but for all ages, I believe the first step is confidence. I try to apply a mixture of patience and enthusiasm to every topic, allowing us to discuss the underpinnings of the topic, then build up from there. Mastery comes from a combination of self-belief and challenge and by providing a safe and fun space in which to ask questions, fail, try again and succeed, I hope to foster mastery in my students.
