About Janice
I am a passionate Violin tutor with 4 years of experience teaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Throughout my teaching journey, I have successfully guided around 150 students in improving their violin techniques, musical understanding, and performance confidence.
My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive, patient, and personalized learning environment where every student can progress comfortably at their own pace. I believe that each learner has unique abilities, and my goal is to help students discover their potential while developing a strong foundation in violin playing.
I specialize in violin fundamentals, posture, bow control, finger techniques, scales, rhythm, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, tone development, vibrato, and performance skills. I use practical exercises, real musical examples, and step-by-step guidance to make lessons engaging and effective.
I focus on understanding each student’s challenges and adapting my teaching methods to match their learning style and goals. My approach combines compassion, creativity, and clear communication to help students build confidence and enjoy their musical journey.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop strong violin skills while building confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of music. I follow a personalized teaching methodology where lessons are designed according to each student’s skill level, goals, learning style, and progress.
I teach Violin through a combination of technical training and practical musical learning. My lessons include subjects such as violin fundamentals, posture, bow techniques, finger placement, scales, rhythm, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, intonation, tone development, vibrato, song interpretation, and performance skills. I help students improve their technique while learning how to express emotions through music.
I use real-life examples and case studies to make lessons more engaging and easier to understand. By discussing professional performances, famous violinists, and different musical styles, I help students connect concepts with real-world applications and improve their understanding of violin playing.
Integrity is an important part of my teaching philosophy. I provide honest feedback, set realistic goals, and maintain a trustworthy learning environment where students can focus on continuous improvement.
Flexibility allows me to adapt my teaching methods based on each student’s abilities and needs. I adjust exercises, practice routines, and lesson plans to ensure that every student receives effective guidance, whether they are beginners or advanced learners.
