About Zaeem
I am a dedicated Grade 11 student with a passion for helping others succeed in Mathematics. After achieving an 87% in University-Level Functions, I was selected by my school as a Peer Tutor to support my fellow students. My commitment to education led to my current Co-op placement at a local elementary school, where I work alongside teachers to support students in Grades 1 through 3.
Because I am currently in the school system, I understand the challenges students face with the modern Ontario curriculum. I am known for my patience and my ability to explain 'scary' math concepts in a way that is easy to understand. My Co-op teacher recommended me for a specialized math placement because of my academic strength and my ability to connect with younger learners.
When I’m not tutoring, I’m focused on my own university-track studies, which keeps my skills sharp and my teaching methods up to date. I take pride in seeing my students' confidence grow as they realize that math doesn't have to be a struggle.

I am a Grade 11 student with an 87% in University-Level Functions, currently completing a Math Co-op placement where I work directly with students in Grades 1 through 3. Being selected as a Peer Tutor at my high school means I have the academic depth for older students and the patience for younger ones.
My Methodology:
I believe math should be approachable, not intimidating. For my younger students (Grades 1–3), I focus on building a strong foundation through engaging activities and clear explanations. For older students (Grades 4–10), I focus on test-prep strategies and homework support.
A typical lesson includes:
Confidence Check: We review recent schoolwork to celebrate what the student already knows.
Step-by-Step Breakdown: I explain new concepts using the modern 'New Math' methods currently used in Ontario classrooms.
Active Practice: We solve problems together until the student feels ready to try them solo.
What sets me apart?
My experience spans from teaching basic numeracy to Grade 1s to mastering advanced Functions. Whether your child needs to catch up on fundamentals or prepare for the jump to high school math, I provide a relatable and supportive environment that builds real confidence.
