About Mpho
Hi! I’m Mpho, a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Cape Town. I have always enjoyed Mathematics and the problem-solving skills that come with it, and I would love to help other students develop the same confidence. I am a patient, approachable and dedicated person who enjoys helping others understand concepts that may initially seem difficult. Through my academic journey, I have developed strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to help them develop a stronger understanding and appreciation of Mathematics.

I believe Mathematics becomes much easier when you understand the reasoning behind each step. My lessons are patient, supportive and tailored to each learner’s needs. We will work through concepts together, practise different types of questions and identify areas that need more attention. I encourage students to ask questions and learn from their mistakes in a comfortable environment. My lessons are aimed at high school learners who want to improve their Mathematics understanding, confidence, test performance and exam preparation. Lessons are offered in English.
