About Daphne
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin and Chamber Performance and have spent the last 5 years helping students strengthen their skills and musical confidence. My interest in violin developed through years of study, ensemble experiences, and performance opportunities. Teaching became an important part of my musical journey because I enjoy helping learners overcome challenges and reach meaningful goals. Watching students discover their abilities continues to inspire me. Every lesson offers a chance to support growth and creativity.
My teaching philosophy centers on encouragement, clarity, and adaptability. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and understand the reasons behind what they are practicing. Lessons are structured to provide clear progress while remaining flexible enough to meet individual needs. Students receive practical guidance that helps them improve steadily and confidently. This creates a welcoming environment where learning feels rewarding.
Outside teaching, I enjoy chamber music, score study, and exploring violin repertoire from different musical traditions. These interests enrich my lessons and provide fresh ideas. Seeing students become more confident and expressive musicians is deeply satisfying. I strive to make every lesson motivating and effective. My goal is to help learners build a lasting appreciation for music and violin playing.

My violin lessons focus on helping students build reliable technique while developing a strong connection to music. Learners work on bow control, posture, tone production, intonation, rhythm accuracy, articulation, and expressive phrasing through carefully structured activities. I believe progress happens most effectively when students understand the purpose behind each exercise. Lessons are designed to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new challenges. This approach encourages confidence and steady improvement.
Each lesson is adapted to meet the individual needs of the student. Learners may focus on open-string exercises, scale development, tone improvement, listening skills, performance memory, and musical interpretation depending on their goals. Students returning after a break receive patient guidance that helps them rebuild confidence and technical consistency. Constructive feedback highlights strengths while addressing areas for improvement. This personalized approach supports meaningful and sustainable growth.
My goal is to help students become confident violinists who enjoy the learning process. As technical skills improve, learners gain greater freedom to express themselves through music. Lessons encourage perseverance, curiosity, and self-confidence. Every success contributes to stronger musicianship and personal growth. I want students to feel proud of their achievements and inspired to continue developing.
