About Nicole

I am a professionally trained performer with a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the Central Academy of Drama and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University, where I further explored performance, culture, and media. My background includes Peking Opera, drama acting, vocals, stage movement, and character work, giving me a strong foundation across both classical and contemporary performance forms. I have years of teaching experience, from coaching opera students and preparing performers for competitions to supporting university theater courses as a teaching assistant at Queen’s. I also continue to participate in annual stage productions and cultural performances, keeping my artistic practice active, current, and connected to the professional world. Students describe my teaching style as patient, encouraging, and detail-oriented. I care deeply about helping learners build confidence, express themselves creatively, and discover their unique voice as performers. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen your skills, I offer a warm, structured, and inspiring environment for growth.

About the lesson

My lessons blend traditional Chinese Peking Opera training with modern acting techniques to help students build strong vocal foundations, expressive movement, and confident stage presence. Each class includes warm-ups, vocal work, character interpretation, and simple choreography tailored to the student’s level.

I focus on patient, beginner-friendly guidance that makes classical opera accessible and enjoyable. As students progress, those who reach a strong performance level may also have opportunities to participate in stage showcases or theatre-style performances, allowing them to apply their skills in a real artistic setting.

These lessons are ideal for learners of all levels—whether you’re exploring opera for the first time or hoping to deepen your artistic expression.
