About Owen
I am a violin tutor with 14 years of experience, teaching students from beginners to advanced performers across school, college, and professional levels. My teaching philosophy combines discipline with creativity, focusing on technique, music theory, sight-reading, and expressive performance. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace, interests, and goals, making learning personalised and effective.
More than 200 students have learnt under my guidance, performing successfully in recitals, concerts, and competitions. My lessons are structured, engaging, and interactive, helping students build skill, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music

I follow a teaching methodology based on compassion, encouragement, and clear communication. Every lesson is tailored to match the student’s pace, goals, and learning style.
I focus on structured guidance, demonstrations, and interactive exercises, making complex techniques and musical concepts easy to understand. I encourage students to ask questions, explore their creativity, and actively engage, ensuring learning is both effective and enjoyable.
Being supportive is key. I celebrate milestones, provide constructive feedback, and help students overcome challenges with patience and motivation. Lessons combine technical skill-building, musical expression, and personal growth to develop well-rounded learners.
I also teach other subjects using the same compassionate, student-centred methodology, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning and music.
