About Nicole
I am an experienced violin tutor with 18+ years of teaching practice, working with around 300 students including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning simple, clear, and effective, as I believe students learn best when lessons are easy to follow.
I pay close attention to fundamentals such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and tone quality, ensuring that students develop strong skills. I break down complex techniques into smaller steps so students can learn with confidence. I also guide students in building good practice habits that support steady improvement.
One of my notable achievements is helping students grow into confident violin players. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel motivated to learn.

I emphasize posture, bowing, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and musical expression while fostering creativity and personal interpretation. Real-life examples such as performing songs, practicing with recordings, and understanding music’s emotional aspects make lessons engaging and relatable.
In addition to violin, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create a structured, supportive, and inspiring environment where students gain confidence and enjoy steady progress.
