About Jessica
My atypical career has always been motivated by my thirst for cultural, professional and personal experiences. Thus following my international Master “Global Studies” in Sweden I occupied different job positions such as Manager of a cultural Café in Sweden (rewarded as best “Kaffe / lunch place” of Malmö in 2012, and promoted in the “White Guide 2013”, equivalent to the French Michelin Guide), French-speaking assistant in Romania, English teacher in France and Greece, Coordinator of socio-cultural projects in various associations in France, as well as Tourist guide and Sales person in Crete !

Studying and living abroad (Sweden) at the age of 19 taught me one thing: the clue to approach a living language is the will to communicate, exchange, be understood and understand. Yet, this is only possible by overcoming the fears and doubts connected to "the shame of speaking", "the fear of making a mistake", or again "the fear of having a bad accent".
Thus my several years of experiences as a French and English teacher (in Sweden, Romania, France and Greece) have shown me that it is essential to structure each lesson according to each student.
The first (free) session is therefore crucial to discuss about the expectations, motivations, apprehensions, as well as the strengths and difficulties of each student in order to define together an angle of approach for the upcoming sessions. We may plan to work on cultural supports (videos, films, music, articles, series, etc.), or solely on written comprehension exercises aimed at preparing for a specific exam, or on conversation exercises, etc.
It is impossible for me to define a precise structure without knowing the profile of each student. Indeed each course is developed to meet the needs and expectations of the student within his professional, personal and / or academic life.
