About Carli
I am a PGCE-qualified teacher with a genuine passion for helping students build real understanding, not just exam-ready answers. I offer private tutoring in Business Studies and Tourism for Grade 8 to Grade 12 learners, covering both CAPS and IEB curricula.
My teaching approach is structured, patient, and focused on understanding over memorization. I believe students perform best in subjects like Business Studies and Tourism when they can confidently apply concepts to new scenarios and case studies, not simply recall definitions, and I shape every lesson around building that kind of confidence.

I'm a PGCE-qualified teacher offering private tutoring in Business Studies and Tourism for Grade 8–12 learners, covering both CAPS and IEB curricula.
My approach is structured and patient. Rather than relying on rote memorization, I focus on helping students genuinely understand the underlying concepts, whether that's a business term, a case study, or how different sections of the syllabus connect to each other. I find this approach pays off especially in subjects like Business Studies and Tourism, where exam answers reward students who can apply concepts to new scenarios, not just recall definitions.
I teach in English and am happy to work with students at any level, from those just building foundational understanding to those preparing intensively for matric finals. I'm equally comfortable with one-off exam-prep sessions and longer-term, ongoing support throughout the school year.
