About Al
Computing lecturer and creative technologist based in Greenwich. Goldsmiths-trained, PGCE-qualified, and I build the things I teach — AI applications, web platforms, generative audio systems. I've taught hundreds of students across London. I make complex things simple and boring things interesting.

I hold a PGCE in Computing Science from the University of East London and a Music Computing degree from Goldsmiths, University of London. I've taught across multiple London secondary schools including Harris Federation academies, delivering Computing Science, AI, and Creative Technology from KS3 through to post-16 learners. I also build real AI applications — from neural audio synthesis systems to full-stack web apps using Python, JavaScript, React, and Next.js — so I teach from genuine hands-on experience, not just textbook knowledge.
My approach is project-based and practical. I believe you learn to code by building things, not memorising syntax. Every lesson connects what we're covering to something real — whether that's training an AI model, building a web app, or understanding how the algorithms behind Spotify or ChatGPT actually work. I adapt my teaching to how each student thinks and where they get stuck, drawing on my formal teacher training and years of classroom experience to break complex concepts down clearly.
Lessons typically run 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions work well for project-based work or exam preparation where we need sustained focus. I'm happy to work with GCSE and A-Level students preparing for exams, university students who need support with programming modules, career changers learning Python or JavaScript for the first time, and professionals wanting to understand AI and machine learning for their work. I teach both in-person across London and online.
