About Rebekah
I am a final year PhD student in Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter, which encompasses evolution, genetics, statistics, coding (particularly R language), and more. As the teaching term is coming to an end here, I have decided tutoring is a great way to continue engaging with students (and, financially, help me finish my doctorate!).
I have a distinction class Master of Research in Evolutionary Biology + Dean's Award from the University of Southampton. I also completed my BSc Biology there, and my third year dissertation has since been published in respected journal Mammal Review and cited over 160 times, including by the World Bank (according to Google Scholar). I am also a highly commended science communicator.

I have paid experience as an assistant teacher for undergraduate biology during lectures, workshops, and lab classes. I also have experience in marking assignments in these modules and have helped organise assessed student presentations.
I am therefore able to tutor undergraduates of any year or age in the biological sciences. Biology is a wonderful subject, and I believe the best way to learn it is, firstly, having it explained to you properly, and secondly: really being passionate about it. I would therefore like lessons to be on any topic you need, preferably with an outline or syllabus from your course so we can make sure we cover exactly what you need to get those all-important grades. I expect lessons to last around 50 mins, but this is negotiable.
I am also happy to work on exam or presentation skills.
