About Elham

I have been a university instructor for 11 years and have taught French for 18+ years. I have also authored and translated books. What's kept me passionate about my career for so many years is seeing again and again what a great impact learning French has had on my students' lives. They have gotten better jobs, met their French-speaking "one", and made life-long friends and told me about them years later.

About the lesson

Methodology: Personalized methods based on the student's background, goals, and capabilities. Who the lessons are for: I have had students ranging from 6 to 65, but most of them are 22-35 with specific goals in mind (improving their communication skills for a job, or scoring B2+ on TEF/TCF, for example). What sets me apart as a tutor, according to my students: 1. Through many years of experience teaching, I've designed personalized methodologies for different types of personas that keep them motivated by being engaging and also improve their weaknesses in the shortest amount of time possible. 2. I'm incredibly passionate about French language and literature. I've authored books in French and taken instructor training courses in France. This passion is highly contagious! I teach both the Québécois & French accents but my own accent is French. I'm an intermediate English speaker. I speak French and Persian fluently.

Excellent! She speaks perfect French. I'm a very, very, very beginner. I need to be taught like a child, from the beginning. I think she realized my needs quite quickly & started with the alphabet which was very helpful. She's encouraging & I think is going to be a good fit for me as long as I don't drive her crazy if I'm learning to slow :)
