About Shreepad
I offer mathematics tutoring with a strong focus on clarity, and student success. My goal is not only to help students solve questions, but to build genuine understanding, confidence, and independent problem-solving skills that carry into exams and future courses.
I bring direct university teaching experience to every lesson. I have been a Teaching Assistant at University of Victoria for the past year, and I have also been grading mathematics courses there for the past two years. This experience has given me a clear understanding of university expectations, common student difficulties, marking standards, and the methods instructors look for in strong solutions.
What sets me apart is that I understand mathematics from both sides: as someone who teaches and as someone who evaluates student work. I know what students struggle with, what markers expect, and how to help students improve in a practical and lasting way.

I offer mathematics tutoring focused on real understanding, not memorization. My goal is to help students build confidence and learn how to think through problems independently. Many students can follow examples in class but struggle when questions are changed. My teaching method is designed to close that gap.
I begin each lesson by identifying what the student already understands and where the difficulty starts. A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous material and any homework questions. Next, I teach one key concept in a simple and structured way. We then solve problems together, starting with basic examples and gradually increasing difficulty. As the lesson progresses, I ask the student to solve similar questions independently so they develop confidence and problem-solving habits.
I place strong emphasis on common mistakes, exam strategy, and recognizing patterns across different question types. At the end of each lesson, I summarize the main ideas, provide practice recommendations, and set goals for the next session.
I tutor Calculus, Linear Algebra, Trigonometry, Algebra, and first- to second-year university mathematics courses.
